When Dez puts up similar numbers in his new home to his last three seasons, are we still going to blame the QB? Good WRs can still be productive with a bad QB, and Dak wasn't even that bad. Dez is just a limited player these days with a lack of explosiveness.
Dak was really that bad last year.

Both Dez and Demaryius Thomas have noticeably declined (Dez more-so) since re starting the WR contract market in 2015, along with AJ Green. All 3 got deals around 70 million/5 years and only Green has lived up to the money.
DT has done fine considering denvers offensive woes and QB trifecta of Siemien, Osweiler and Lynch
DT got his contract picked up, Dez didnt, that should tell you that at least Denver is fine with the deal
Beyond his on field performance, imagine how much of a pain he must be to deal with to have spent as long as he has as a face of the franchise who was never once made a team captain. The biggest tell of all was that Jerry Jones cut him. Jerry Jones will tolerate pretty much anything and will protect his favorite players. If even Jerry Jones is done with you, you can see why other teams aren't lining up to get him.
I don't think he's ever been right since his foot injury a couple of years ago.
To me the problem with Dez isn't his route running is terrible per se...it's that he's not explosive and a lot of his routes deep need to rely on the double move for him to get separation. I actually think he runs good routes over the middle, the problem is that CB's have a tendency to sit on the digs/crossing patterns that he relies on. He also can't catch anymore for some reason.
Teams generally have their rosters set for training camp. They're not looking to hand out big numbers, even if it's just 1 year. And the longer he waits the less time he's going to have to work in whatever offense he has to get acclimated to.Surprised he's still unsigned
As much as it hurts his ego, the reality is the league clearly doesn't see him as an elite talent any longer. He'll get a job next season, but he's probably going to have to wait for an offseason workout injury or some early cuts in training camp to open up a spot.Teams generally have their rosters set for training camp.
