Lappin was instrumental on both goals... Zacha played one of his strongest games in awhile...gonna need him during this stretch without hall..... Avuitu is also a key player at this point....

Love what he's brought so far, can definitely see comparisons to Clarkson's game and Lappin has the skating strength Clarkson had trouble with at times.

Lappin is so tenacious and smart with the puck.

I feel these are all things that were never said about Clarkson. Tenacity is a trait they both shared, and the strength of each appears to be goal scoring more then play making, but I feel Lappin does a lot more in terms of hockey smarts and skill while Clarkson was more a brawler who could score. Doesn't Lappin already have more career assists?

Granted Clarkson had a very nice career as a goal scorer while Lappin has a ways to go to prove he even belongs long term in the league. But in terms of a comparison, I think a poor man's Lang's is more apt.
