Yup, and this is a bug that has noted tough guys in Kostin and Desharnais stuck in bed. It’s not one you easily play through (obviously like all bugs it hits some harder than others). I think they’ll be back to looking a lot better next week once it’s finished going through the lockerroom. Just need to bank as many points as possible on the meantime

Oil get the benefit of a schedule quirk and need to take advantage. Their game has been slipping and now the quality of competition is increasing significantly in their schedule. Big game for them.

I was astonished at how badly they played against New York in periods 2 and 3. Was really angry by the end of that one but after taking a step back I understand the situation. Definitely an afflicted group. A healthy NHL team just doesn't play like that. I fully expect us to get bulldozed by the Avalanche but who the heck knows?
