Meanwhile, Detroit is once again pulling Defeat from the jaws of victory, and they look like they can't do anything about it. They're going down like a frikking meteor. At this rate they could wind up #1.
Vancouver and Detroit for weeks have been plain and simple embarrassing. Neither of them deserve a top 3 pick the way they are tanking down the stretch.

Lol..That would help but there's no denying he's a different player with Kreids on his line.
He's been unable to duplicate the same production with anyone else.
He needs his line mates to do the dirty work.

Did you miss the chart Auf posted proving Zibby makes everyone playing with him more effective?

Sure there is.
He's been useless without him.
Add in Fast and now he has tons of room to do his thing.
Night and day.

Facts proves otherwise.

Krieder w/o Zibanejad - 42.6% CF

Zibanejad w/o Kreider - 48.9% CF

The sample size is small and Kreider has long ago established himself as a top possession player, but the "Zibanejad is only good with Kreider" meme started tonight and needs to die tonight.

How about calculating this.
How many 5v5 points does Z have without K?

Surprised Kreider's CF is so poor without Zibanejad.

You all wanted to trade Kreider two weeks ago

First of all, who's you all? Second, there are a few posters that continue to put him in deals for Edmonton's #1 pick. Speaking for myself, if Kreider confirms he's a 30/30 top line player for the next few years, there's only a small chance anything the Rangers get back for him in any deal provides more than what Kreider can and will provide the Rangers. And, he'll be worth a long term deal. OTOH, if Kreider reverts to what his critics claim he is, then I'm not sure he's going to be locked up long term.

He doesn't have that many WITH Kreider.

He does his damage on the powerplay and drives possession at even strength.

If he were a good even strength producer, he'd be Anze Kopitar. If you're expecting Kopitar, that's your fault.

Why do you think he doesn't score as much 5 on 5 despite having the skill and possession?

Kreider has obliterated the image his critics created ten times over. We shouldn't even be talking about it anymore.

He's pacing for 55 over 82 during a season in which he's been healthy for like 11 games.
