Having the current group step up and develop into responsible players would be better imo. Some 18 year old isn’t going to come in and fix any issue this team has.
I think it's gonna help a lot. Plus, who knows who will be shopped. Norris, Chychrun, Chabot? We'll need more high end talent and then a new coach presumably, all new pro scouts and on and on and on.

Sens are fragile and they don’t get saves when they need them, then they can’t recover. Their defence is bad obviously but when your goalie can help you through a bad stretch, it also gives you the opportunity to recover rather than going off the rails completely.

Honestly just listening to everyone around the team talk about the win against SJ as if it meant anything at all says a lot about the mentality right now. They get overconfident quite easily and forget that every single shift needs to be balls to the wall at both ends of the ice, especially against an actual NHL team.

It's like watching every loss this season, again and again.

It's also hilarious watching people blame Soogard tonight. He's been playing lights out in Belleville but he gets here and gives up 6 right away and that's on him?

Come on now. There's an obvious pattern with goaltending here.
The pattern is the team is bad and the goaltending is bad, and they are both exacerbating each other’s issues.

Holy crap, Avs scored on low-risk, low-percentile stretch passes and lobs. We have to be more aware.

He wasn't great but they needed to do a better job in front of him, lots of grade A chances

There's a difference between shooters in the NHL and shooters in the Minors. In the majority of NHL games in his career he has looked totally overwhelmed.

Obviously he wasn't the only player who should shoulder some blame but he definitely let in a few soft goals tonight. He did not play well.
