Let's get this going... I'm thinking let polls run for 3 days... Try to get the top 20 made - 60 days of polling. This puts us at August 31, 2013 when the #20 poll closes, just in time for TC/PS. I decided to make Nathan MacKinnon Consensus #1 because, quite frankly if you don't think he is the #1 prospect you don't know what you're talking about.

Simple Rules/How things work
1. Vote for who you think is the best prospect using your own criteria. It could either be who is the best now, the future, or both.
2. Always request to add a prospect to the list in order to replenish the list as the polling goes on
3. Always discuss these things. It gets boring if it's just "Add: Malone" for 30 posts until the next one comes out.

1. Nathan MacKinnon, C, Halifax Mooseheads (#1 overall, 2013 Draft) - Consensus #1

2. Tyson Barrie, D, Lake Erie Monsters (#64 overall, 2009 Draft) - 71.76%

3. Duncan Siemens, D, Saskatoon Blades (#11 Overall 2011 Draft) - 55.93%

4. Stefan Elliott, D, Lake Erie Monsters (#49 Overall 2009 Draft) - 53.70%

5. Chris Bigras, D, Owen Sound Attack (#32 Overall 2013 Draft) - 42.06%

Beaupre! Nah, this one for me is going to be the Sgarbossa-nova. Pickard next.

I'd add Geertsen.

Fyi, OP says #4 for Elliott and Bigras, Bigras = #5.

After MacKinnon we just voted 4 defenders in a row.

My vote, if I could, would be for Sgar at this point. Hishon has great potential but his injuries have me spooked on him...

Just a suggestion, if the results remain this close between 2-3 players, I'd suggest a tiebreaker even if one is technically in the lead. We've got plenty of time to do these polls and some people voting one way might vote another in a tiebreaker.

For instance, if Hish and Aitto led the poll at the end, I'd vote Hishon over Aitto even though I voted Sgar for this poll. And I'd vote Pickard before Aitto if they were tied.

I think our goalies are very skilled, but they are also more difficult to predict where they will end up in the NHL and I think all of the guys we've been voting on will make a bigger impact than a back up goalie would. So unless one of our goalies reaches their starter potential, the poll seems accurate.

This is an argument for a slightly different polling method (don't know if it's possible). Instead of voting for one player, you should be able to rank up to three (or more) and point totals will determine the winner (e.g. 3 points for first place, 2 for second, 1 for third).

Pickard, he looked good in his 1st year in the AHL. I also think his style fits well with the NHL.
