If we were 10 points back maybe though to get a Scanlin or Meyers maybe you burn a year to get them, otherwise probably not

i don't think burning a year is an issue for bruins this year. it's kind of the perfect season to do it.
no real concern about missing playoffs, and no real chance to move up.

I agree. They have 3 million right now plus only 44 of 50 contracts. Good position for college FA.

Not that we'll get him but Andonovski used his 4 years at Princeton to get bigger, he grew 2 inches and put on about 30 pounds from his freshman year, now 6'1 195, plays RW and has a big brain

I have to remind myself the same thing every year - I always want 10-15 of them on the list, most 6'2" or taller. And every time, about 5% of the college FAs amount to anything better than squat, nearly every one of them being a shrimp.

Lysell is the only dark horse possibility.

On a playoff team? Doubtful, that's asking a lot of that particular player

In a different organization I can see Scanlin being thrown in the deep end without floaties just to give him a taste and see how he does
That would never happen with Boston, it's Providence first and reassess
