Wouldn't count out Vegas on bidding for him if he's indeed going to get traded at the deadline. Vegas have the cap space now and rumour is Martinez likely isn't coming back next season.

how much you want for this cat

The ideal return would be a RD that isn't too old, has some term, and can defend well. An Artem Zub clone would be nice.

Carlo, Poluck, Weegar, Parayko, Cernak, or Marino come to mind, but I doubt any of them are available. Otherwise a goalie would make some sense as well, but that's even tougher to pull off.

It's a tough pill to swallow as mostly anything Ottawa would want, is probably off limits.

Well the last time a player refused to re-sign, Rob Blake outbid himself to acquire the guy and came out the other side with his pants around his ankles.

Chychrun to LA rumors, part deux. Ottawa fans literally can’t wait to see what they can plunder from Blake and Bergevin.

Spence, Kaliyev, Lizotte, and a first?

Even that was luck dependent.

If San Jose gave their 2019 first or if they played even half as good in 2020 as they did from 2016-19, sens are picking in the mid to late 20s and not Stutzle at #3
In some ways I feel this year is karma for that. We got Stutzle not because the sharks played worse that year but because they got the worst goaltending in decades. Now here we are in a year we should be making the playoffs at the very bottom due to the worst goaltending in decades.... At least we still have our first I guess.

The Wings can generously offer the Debrincat special.
Our 1st, Viro, 4th and let’s say Ghost?

Ghost has more trade value than Kubalik, IMO.

$4.1M is rancid even for a good PP specialist, but if they retain that to 50%, I think they could get a decent pick for a team that needs a QB.

Dubas will trade Karlsson (with some retention) back to the Sens for Chychrun. I dunno what the rest of the deal would look like though.
Alot of wishful thinking in Pitt. Chychrun has value Karlsson has negative. What's the add on Pittsburghs end to get it done?

Very lucky, Dorion will go down as worse than Milburry.

Solid futures not scraps. 1st and a 2nd and a prospect or late pick. Something around knies and a pick.
need the cheap roster players. something around 2024 1st, 3rd and next seasons 2nd. that's close to what the sens payed while also accounting for the sens burning a year of his contract.

I want to come up with something with one of the Boston goalies, but Ullmark’s NTC and inability to sign an extension until the summer make him not enough. And I wouldn’t move Swayman for Chychrun 1:1.

Someone made a thread about Ullmark to NJD, futures to Ottawa and Chychrun to BOS. Would have to work out all the futures and whatnot, but it’s an interesting base. Basically NJD would provide the bulk of the futures and Boston could throw in a kicker. Maybe two kickers from Boston for either NJD or Ottawa to take on the expiring deal of Gryz or Forbort.

If Ottawa likes Marino, and the devils like ullmark and he's willing to sign / be traded there, I think there's something that could be worked out between the three of them

Ottawa fans, what are the odds he is dealt before this trade deadline?
Tough thing to handicap, but at this point I think it's more likely than not. Probably 60/40 that he moves.

Now that Hanifin has moved I would expect the teams that missed out on him to double back on Chychrun. If a team steps up with the right offer, he's gone.

Great then they won't trade him. He has term and is on a bargain of a contract.
The knies ask is fair but Chychrun is not the d man the leafs need. I could be wrong and Chychurn could be an amazing fit but I wouldn't be willing to gamble knies plus on that fit.
