Maltsev, Zaitsev, and Chainey on the NHL network right now (have not been following the Canada-Russia series, it might be a replay).
Mikey should rip the OHL to shreds.
maltsev is #13
What numbers are Chainey and Zaitsev?
Matthew Hellickson started on the top defensive pairing for Notre Dame tonight. He even got an assist. This is really something because he started the season as a freshman on the third pairing and within 2 months he's already on the top pair.
Joey Anderson still missing time with an upper-body injury.
Jeremy Davies's goal was pure speed
Brett Seney had an assist on Merrimack's only goal of the night.
Great night so far for Devils prospects
Which kid? Davies was our last pick I believe in 2016 draft and Hellickson last pick in last year's draft.Did we draft that kid?

Before this year the assumption seemed to be we would need to acquire 2-3 defensemen from outside our organization to become contenders, if we're patient enough we might need only one. Or none, who knows. They still have a long ways to go but our defensemen prospects playing so well is starting to give me some hope. Davies, Hellickson, Walsh, Rykov, Chainey and Sissons are all having great starts to their seasons by the sounds of it. Very very encouraging.

Never said we should count on anyone, just that being patient might pay off big. Right now numbers are on our favor.I don't think we should be counting on any of that group though, outside of Rykov.
I would keep a sliver of hope for an outbreak like we're seeing from Bratt, but we still need to bolster the defense
