I'm confident that this team could come out and beat the Renegades' best season record of 7-11.

EDIT: God, the Renegades were so crappy. Wanted to reiterate.

We'll always have memories of Joe Paopao's shirt.

SURPRISE SURPRISE NO PARKING AT LANSDOWNE sorry TD Place

That's no surprise, it was stated from the start since what used to be a giant big parking lot will now be mostly green space.

There was no public parking on site during the U20 World Cup either, so it's not really new. Parking wasn't an issue as there was plenty of on-street parking as long as you don't mind walking a few blocks.

I certainly prefer to park on a side-street and have a nice 15-20 minute walk to the stadium rather than parking in some distant lot, wait for a shuttle, cram myself like a sardine for the shuttle ride to the stadium and then do the same thing in the opposite direction at the end of the game. After the game it's nice to have the option to go to a local pub or coffee place, or stop for an ice cream, or do some shopping or whatever, and wait for the traffic to die down. So much better situation compared to Cdn Tire Centre.

Friends of Lansdowne were always just spouting crap since we all did this during the U20 World Cup and during football games in years gone by and it worked out fine.

Unless you are a season ticket holder even then there is only 1100 spots for 24,000 people.

How many bicycle spots?

Good. I'm glad they cut back on parking. Forces people to actually use public transit which is on principle more efficient*, better for urban areas, and kind to the environment.

*results may vary with OC Transpo.

It is confirmed incomplete. The wood pieces have to be made by hand and it turned out a number were ill-fitting and had to be taken back to the shop for modifications. They will finish it off when the pieces are ready.

ok, that's good to hear. hopefully it gets considerably more attractive. (not that this is a hugely important thing.)

Agreed, it looked better in the conceptual drawings than it does in reality (as it is today)! If they fill it in a bit more, it could be very nice.

Will your stadium be shared with the Ottawa Fury? Or will they have their own?

Also enjoy the game tonight. Hopefully you guys play well since a lot of people in the States will be watching on ESPN3 to see 85 play.
