Categories Draft "Champions Edition" Signup (Will Begin Sep. 4th)

I'd like to see us change up voting sometimes. Lately we've been doing matchup style almost every time. I personally like playoff style more. Gives you a better overall ranking and you avoid being matchup f***ed

The only issue with tossing Draisaitl and MacKinnon is they are both in the WHL/QMJHL category and there are not many replacement options. I would prefer to leave them and do 4th round reversed as well.

That is interesting for the salary cap, could try that.

So have everyone rank their top 16 or something alone these lines? My main issue with the voting right now is we get less votes as it goes along. But then people don't want to do main board voting either because it's more name value.

Playoff style would cut voting in half

I think the best way to do it is divisionally. Same format as the NHL. We vote 1-8 per division. 8 points for a 1st place vote, 1 for 8th. Playoff matchups/voting follows the NHL playoff format. I think we did it this way at some point in the past

I liked how I did the voting that one time, where we started with groups of 4 and only 1 team came out of each

2. Depends if you have McDavid in (if not, then 3RR is fine)

4. Picking draft spots would be fun.

Would there be enough votes to do it divisionally? I know when we used to do that, we had issues with getting enough votes. It’s comparing 8 teams instead of 2.

Panda numbers don’t lie. I’m also a fan of voting based on divisions for seeding and then doing an 16 team bracket based on voting and not a randomized 32 team bracket.

Draft to pick your draft slot and opponent is always fun too

There are busts in every game. It's possible and likely this would have more if people don't plan ahead but to me that would make for very entertaining draft.
