This is a very cool idea, and I wanted to propose something to the boards as a fun list-making thing.

Looks like we get one player and one "contributor" into the Hall of Fame each year. What I want to see from each of you is your prioritized list of Canes HOFers that you'd select. Players is more fun but if you want to throw contributors into the mix go for it. Could be a fun debate ("Irbe should be in before Whitney", etc.)

Player: Ward just because he holds all the records.
Contributor: the former equipment manager, too bad it has to be posthumously though.

dark horse contributor: Mark Bergervin because without him we wouldnt have Aho or KK.

Very cool to see this. Great idea to tie it to the 25th Anniversary game.

Staal and Ward are the obvious no-brainers. Irbe and Francis are also easy inductions. Beyond that it gets a little less clear cut. I’m guessing Cole and Gleason get in for their combo of playing contributions and off-ice roles. Williams for his leadership contributions during his second stint here. I don’t love O’Neill but you kind of have to consider him. And then a whole slew of guys who are still active.

Francis is already in by virtue of his number being retired (along with RBA and Wesley).

For Moments we have to include the Bojangles fight and the Hot Wife

Non conprehensive list

Moments: Jokinen, walker, McGinn, Mrazek, Kaberle, Williams, Bryan Bickell
I did see that current players are excluded from the HoF until they are at least 1 calendar year removed from their last game. So a few of these players are going to have issue getting in (EStaal, Skinner, McGinn, Mrazek)
