Even if the Caps miss the playoffs, I'd like to see a strong finish to the year to give them for the sake of morale. Want them to come back feeling confident and ready to play next year.

Nah, nobody here wants the team to lose for it's own sake. But the season is lost, playoff-wise so what remains is the hope of a better draft pick. But we all cheer when they play well and win in spite of wanting that.

They need to solidify their positioning to get a better asset in the draft. If rooting for that over winning a meaningless game makes me a bad fan….I’ll take that categorization and roll with it. From my angle I could say you’re being a bad fan by not wanting them to end up with something positive from this season (an asset) BUT I don’t judge how people choose to be a fan. Everyone should do what they think is right. We all have different ideas on what will make the team better and there is nothing wrong that.

I hope this game helps the Capitals Armored Car efforts. Without the playoffs out of the picture, it's all about the Pressure Vessel at this stage in the season.
