Just talked with Bo Horvat as he gets ready to play for Canada at the world hockey championships.

Horvat: "I'm excited, anytime you get to throw on the Team Canada sweater and represent your country, it's exciting. To play alongside all these great Canadian players, it's an honour."

Horvat on his 1st WHC's: "I want to learn from all these players, see what other guys do and grow my game. I want to keep getting better as a player."

Horvat says bigger ice suits his game: "Yeah it does, I like it a lot as you have more time and space and you get to display your speed more."

Horvat looking for ward to watching Elias Pettersson:" Yeah, I tried to watch him the best as I could on videos and highlights, he looks like a special player."

Horvat on Michael DiPietro: " I have practised with him 4-5 times, he is really excited. He is such a hard worker, always trying to get better, as a Canucks draft pick it is exciting to watch him."

thanks OP,i owe a lot of likes.Gary bettman and his stupid lotto caused me to lose my like privileges for a month.Surprised DiPietro made the team, that bodes well for the Canucks in the future.Bo's the Canucks next captain, can pretty much guarantee that.Really looking forward to seeing the Swedish great one play.Thomas Gradin is a scouting genius,he got the Sedins too.Best case scenario, gold for Canada,silver for Sweden.

Wonder if Bo will be tasked with shutting down Pettersson's line when they go head to head? Bo could see some PK time as well and you know he'll face Pettersson if that happens. That should fuel some practice bets for years to come between these two...

Last exhibition game Bo had 2 Primary assists on the Dubois and McDavid goal, as well as 2 more goals from that line for a +4 on 6 goals. Not bad for a fourth line​

This. This times a 1000000. Theres still outside chance of Boeser becoming captain. He has some leadership that will see more of next season. As for the lotto i tuned out this year as I probably would have been banned for all the cursing and crap flung everywhere. My best decision of the year on this forum

Wow!....this WHC Canadian team is just stacked.....Lol...Horvat as a fourth-line center......Gotta' love this DiPietro kid....he's one driven goaltender to keep on improving.....pretty hard to discount a kid with that kind of determination and work ethic. Really pulling for him to succeed as pro goalie.
