Homer going to home. You got a lucky call - own up to it. Especially when the actual rule has been posted, and a video of a similar incident was posted earlier in the thread that was allowed.

But it wasn't a lucky call, it was a common call consistant with most other cases of a goalie having a strap broken on their mask.

Yes, there have been occasions where it wasn't called dead in the past but the majority of the time this situation is called it goes this way.

How little hockey do you watch that this is your first time seeing something like this?

I'm guessing his strap broke. Looks like Brassard takes a couple pokes at the back of his head so either the strap broke or it moved his mask so he couldn't see. I don't blame the guy for throwing it off. It's not like he had any idea the puck was being fired on net at that moment.

Besides, it was clearly goaltender interference and should've been disallowed anyway.

It's hilarious to read the words people use to describe this situation...its disgusting really haha. It reminds of that louis ck bit of how people use words made for rare use for mundane occurrences in life
