I'd take Bennett at 3rd, and if we won draft lotto, I'd take Ekblad. Or trade it to Buffalo if they want Reinhart, for their pick and stuff. You know, because sneaky.

Burke is going to draft a big guy because this franchise already has midgets in Gaudreau, Barteschi along with Hudler and Cammy

That maybe similar to mistakes D.Sutter made. they should focus on the best prospect not size

The entire top end of the first round is decent-sized, anyway. Bennett is the only one who's not at least 6'1, and he's still a solid 6'0 (and one of the younger guys in the draft, so growth isn't out of the question).

Reinhart or Ekblad are my top choices, I would careless which one we got. Bennett, Dal Colle and Draisaitl are all pretty much even to me and I'd be equally happy with any of them if we pick 3-5. Hopefully Lu wins the Panthers a few more games.

I see Bennett in that tier 1 group. He's 7months younger than Reinhart and is absolutely tearing up the OHL.

Almost identical PPGs. Bennett also plays an "in-your-face" style of hockey with a physical presence. I think anyone picking in the top 3 is getting an excellent player...

4 - 5 (Draisaitl / Dal Colle) should also be decent top 6 forwards.

I'd be happy with any of Ekblad, Reinhart, Bennett, Draisaitl, Dal Colle, Ritchie. Ekblad will be a elite Dman. I compare him to Ryan Suter. Reinhart, Bennett, Draisaitl will be elite two way players and Ritchie, Dal Colle will be elite power forwards. Happy with any and we shouldn't go into debate too much with them. We should talk about 2nd rounders and 3rd rounders. I really like Jack Dougherty and I think we should do a trade like 35th overall, 178th overall for 45th overall, 105th overall. Pick Dougherty and either Alex Pepin or Reharts Bogards. Bogards is a pure scorer and Pepin is a big power forward

I would be ok if a young guy like Monahan and Backlund got hot and we missed out but it's stupid that we missed a good pick because of guys like Galiardi or Stajan had a few good games.
