Drafted 2013, round 1 #4 overall by Brandon Wheat Kings in the WHL Bantam Draft

Nolan Patrick had 75 points in 19 games last season...

He's a 15-year-old hockey player from Winnipeg and his bloodlines are rich in talent. His dad and uncle played in the NHL and it appears Nolan will carry on the tradition.

He is the latest Powerade 24 feature athlete. Watch his story here: http://www.tsn.ca/powerade24/

His grandfather was a very good athlete , Steve Sr. and he played for the Bombers. Unfortunately he passed away yesterday or the day before .

Big , and dedicated and can score . Elite potential.

Don't want to nitpick, and the kid looks like a true talent, but you have to be atrocious defensively, no matter the level, to score 75 pts and still be a -14 no ?

Winnipeg Thrashers? How the hell did this guy get into the NHL already? :sarcasm:

Nah but seriously, named for the Thrashers move?

No there are now only two AAA teams at that level in Winnipeg and when they selected thrashers , not entirely sure how or why it was selected other than it is or was a hockey team and thrashed fits for a physical sport.

We are very excited to have him in Brandon next year. Got him and Clague in the 1st round. He will be 6'4 next year. Reminds me a lot of Ryan Getzlaff/Joe Thornton

I read about this player the other day, seems to be a very interesting prospect with lots of tools (he had Toews like figures in his WHL draft year!), anyone in Brandon seen him thus far in preseason, how's he looked? What can we expect in his rookie year from those in the know. Looks to be a top pick come 2017 from the sounds of it.

Patrick impressed me during the U-17 camp. He showed a lot of strength along the boards and out muscled a lot of the players at that camp even though he was one of the youngest players there.

Brandon has a wealth of talent for the next couple of years. I can't wait to see him play along side Mattheos in the next few years.

Not the first, and not the last to say this. No doubt first player taken out of the Dub for 2017.

IMO he will definitely be the first player taken in the 2017 NHL draft. Such a good player and I cant believe he still has 2 more seasons after this year to get the hockey world excited

Way too early to say he'll go first. He's definitely beginning his bid, though.
