Dude is absurd, and has only gotten better as the season’s gone on.

Regina may be a flawed team, but in the playoffs, where Bedard is doing absolutely everything he can to win, they could be a handful - your team can be decently flawed and win, if the star is frequently putting up 4+ point nights. I think they have a solid shot to win a series against any team in the east except Winnipeg (and not even doing bad against them tonight!).

I just drafted him in my 48 team franchise mode and was kinda surprised to see he was only a 78 overall excited to see how he does. havent gotten a chance to play as him yet just finished a long offseason in my new league

Draft year PPG update:

McDavid: 2.55
Bedard: 2.59

Should be close on if he can stay ahead of McDavid by the end of the season.

But Crosby though? And he’s too small…it won’t translate to the NHL.

70 goals ? Yeah, no, unless there’s even more dramatic increase in scoring
Not really tho, Ovechkin goals-adjusted best season was 72 goals, Stamkos was at 68, Hull was at 78, Bure was twice at 65, Matthews was at 63 with 9 games missed - and in today's game number of GPG is above average, while their seasons are standardized to average level according to this metric.

So basically if you assume Bedard is a generational-level goalscorer, he should be close at some point to 70 goals.

Needs 36 points in his final 11 games to beat Crosby’s draft year PPG. Which obviously doesn’t really matter, but … could be fun to keep tabs on!

It’s a long shot, but he has a small chance. He’s at 31 points in his last 11 games, so he’d need to get even hotter than his current heater, but not too much more. His highest scoring 11 game stretch this season is 36 points (Nov 30 through Feb 1), so he’s done it before.
