Just looked the P.Bruins stats. Zboril a +17 with 4 points? Wow kid must be really solid in his own end.

He has been asked to take on a much more defensive role with a lot of PK time and barely any PP time. Sweeney has mentioned how good he has looked a few times so far this year. Really excited for his development. He should be pushing for a spot next year on this teams roster. Not sure where he fits in if Chara comes back and we have Chara-Krug-Gryz as our 3 LHD, but a full year at providence and continued growth will be great for his development. Excited to see this kid play when he finally finds a spot on the roster.

During Russia-US game, Dave Starkman referred to Lindgren as the US's best defensive defenseman after he had played a strong game. He also raved about Frederic's shooting ability, though he also criticized him for a defensive mistake that almost cost his team a goal in the third period.
Also, Steen out on the ice in last minutes as Sweden secured elimination-game win over Slovaks. Plus he got a shootout game-winner in the regular round. Like Lindgren, he's a bit undersized and more of a gritty player than a superbly skilled one.
Vaakanainen came a half-inch from winning the Finn-Czech game for the Finns with a great top-shelf shot from the half-wall late in the third period. Ticked off the goalie's shaft.

Any comments on Gabrielle or Lauzon?

Lauzon is injured and hasn’t played since 11/22. He doesnt appear to be close to a return, either. Before the injury, he was the best defensemen in Providence. Plays hard and competes in every zone, every shift. Good defensive awareness and gap-control. Similar to McAvoy, its very hard to get by him on the wall if you’re an attacker entering the zone. He often plays the body there and can thwart an entire rush as a result.

Pending his health, Lauzon will be on the opening-night roster for the Bruins next season in Boston. He’s that good.

unfortunately, this has been an issue for him often. he seems like a guy like mcquaid (not style, just durability) where
you just accept he's never going to be playing a full season. but there's a lot to like in his game.

Steen looked very good for Sweden today, sniped a roofer killing a penalty and was a buzz saw all game against the USA. Kid is a nice pick for a 6th rounder. Maybe our best in the tourney so far.

Dirty stick work by Steen on back of Yamamoto's leg near the end of game, though. Refs never saw it.

Lots of kids knocking on the door for the Bruins. Donny has some major decisions to make. It would be nice to see him win a few trades. Something like what Bergevin did in Montreal by turning Montoya into a conditional 4th round pick.
Lots of players that have value and we can't afford to lose for nothing. The Subban loss was bad enough lately.
Schaller and Nash are both UFAs and are playing really well. Maybe a good chance to move them at their highest value.
Vatrano and even Czarnik have some value. Can he flip them for assets?
McQuaid is maybe at the end of his career as a Bruin. Another year at 2.75 million- Maybe time to move him. Lots of defensive options in Providence. Same goes for Postma- no real need for him.
How do you get rid of Beleskey? Two more years of 3.8 million. We still are paying for the poor decision of buying out Seidenberg for two more years. Don't think another buy out is a good decision.
Lots of decisions that can make or break the franchise going forward in the future.

The team with the 2nd best point percentage in the conference isn't moving guys off the roster for futures UNLESS they need to move cap for another deal. I'd rather have Schaller and Nash than a couple of 5th round picks. McQuaid (again, unless they have another move lined up) should stay on the roster, too. Maybe move him in the summer when you hope Zboril and/or Lauzon are ready, sure, but I would rather have McQuaid slot into the lineup when someone inevitably gets hurt than Postma or O'Gara or whatever. By a lot.

Vatrano could be a nice sweetener in a package for a real upgrade. No need to move him right now. Again, maybe over the summer when the winger situation is going to get even tighter it makes sense but, you aren't going to get much different in value if you trade him now vs in the summer. So why rush it unless the right deal comes along?

These moves around depth players and late round picks are not the ones that will make or break. What will make or break is deciding which ones of the kids you are going to build around and which ones there isn't room for and what you get for the kids there isn't room for.

Bruins have enough kids in the lineup right now. Do we really need to deal depth pieces like Schaller and Nash do get more into the lineup? Vatrano and Czarnik do not hold a lot of value. They're more sweeteners in trades, if anything. McQuaid is depth and not something you should be actively trading right now. Teams now what he is and his value isn't changing much. You could just move him in the off-season. Postma is waiver fodder if anything. You're not getting an offer on him.

Seidenberg buyout wasn't a poor decision. The guy looked like he was done/cooked/toast. Bruins made the move. Even bringing him up is hindsight at it's finest. Nothing you listed above is "make or break".
