That's what's wrong with NHL reffing. They aren't going to call the penalty when Gryzfdwsakdlik actually breaks the rules. But when Gaudreau then breaks the rules and grabs his stick, then yeah, they call a penalty on the Bruin.

Looks like it was probably just the Flames not being up for an afternoon game. They're definitely skating better now.

Also, everyone else is noticing how well Monahan is playing this game, right?

Monahan has been great. Hopefully this is a sign that he's ready to go on another hot streak. He's been in a funk again recently (despite potting some assists).

It bothers me that all of the Flaming Cs in the Flames' centre ice line are oriented in the same direction. What happened to equality?

Klimchuk has made a few nice defensive plays that I've noticed. I've liked his confidence on the puck and his energy, too.
