Panarin made mincemeat out of all of our D, ugly puck watching coverage. It turned into a blowout. Every coach in the league is going to give their top players reduced minutes in a game like this.
Lets be honest, it's not like McDavid's line bothered to show up tonight in the defensive end. They were on their for what... 4 goals against? Or was it 5?
Perhaps a little off topic....but anyone believe Strome is the 3rd line centre thats gonna play on a Stanley Cup winner?
The Blue Jackets spent the entire game passing the puck around in the Oilers zone at will. The forward core tonight, first line at the forefront, was just as negligent as the D core.Other than the Goal that went directly off of RNH not sure what the forwards could have done to stop the tire fire know as the Oilers D Corps

Genuinely some of the laziest and disinterested defending I've seen from the Oilers as a whole team all year.
Oilers are gonna be a bottom 10 team for the next 3 years at least
GoodQuintessential Oilers' game of 2017-18:
- McDavid is great
- Defense/goaltending awful (2 AHL goalies play)
- 2nd and 3rd lines can't score
- At the first sign of the opposition's push-back, the entire Oilers' team collapses and turns into pylons
- Lucic and Sekera completely useless
I think this might be the end for Todd.
Not if they hire a competent manager, the sooner they do that, the sooner this will turn.
The forwards kept them to the outside? Did you watch the game? The Blue Jackets were finding guys in the middle of the ice at will.Yeah the Forwards kept them to the outside and long. THats their roll
To many crap contracts no cap space yeah their screwed

Doesn't matter. McPoints.
A decent manager can work around that and do what Toronto did. Sekera's NMC is over after next year, so is Russell's, Lucic can be dumped on Seattle if you retain about a million and include a pick.
It can be done if a GM wants it to be done. The cap is steadily rising year after year too.
I don’t think he’s an NHL player on a playoff team. He’s another Gagner. Half a Gagner.Perhaps a little off topic....but anyone believe Strome is the 3rd line centre thats gonna play on a Stanley Cup winner?
Uh Seattle wont be till 2021-2022 season....
Won't make much of a difference unless Chia is replaced too.I hope they wait out Chicago, but yeah, TMac is a goner.
MacT...TMac...MacT...TMac...make it stop.
