I understand surrounding Bedard with future talent, but Kyle Davidson in my opinion did a poor job giving Bedard help once the lottery balls went his way. Relying on a 32 year old injury prone Hall and a 35 year old, 3rd liner in Foligno is just not good.

This tank stuff collecting draft picks and hoping they develop fast can’t go on too long. Draft picks are complete crap shoots, you can’t have Bedard with no quality talent around him for too long, it could stunt his development and piss him off. By the time other draft picks develop he might want out of here. There needs to be a few much higher quality pieces brought in this next offseason to play with the kid.

So you want to rush like a Toronto, Buffalo, and Edmonton? ...why? This prospect pool/depth was much closer to Buffalo when they got Eichel or Dahlin too than the others.

I dont get the desire to rush to fill a team with talent it doesn't need when it will result on wearing the long term pathways to success. It will result in a at beat Toronto style constant playoff failure of a team because having 4-5 stars spread out in roster spots is key. This team has 1... that makes them so far away. Having 2 great stars is still having nothing, thats being like Edmonton

yeah like realistically it probably takes a lot of prospects a good 4-5 years from being drafted to becoming full time legit contributors

This roster is so incredibly thin it’s laughable. Outside of Bedard they have nobody at the moment.

I can only hope that they’ll give him more talent to play with sooner than later. Maybe him, Kurashev and Beauvillier start to click
