I cringe every time I hear someone call korchinski a smooth skating puck mover. He has the most ugly and inefficient skating stride on this Blackhawks team and he doesn’t move pucks. He’s very talented but I don’t know what those talents are. He doesn’t walk people, doesn’t have a shot, skates ugly, doesn’t defend well yet. I feel like he’s going to be good someday but I’m not sure at what.

Well I am certainly critical of Korchinski but he's got the best breakout pass on the team and while his skating isn't smooth exactly, he is a great skater. He defends the blue line really well, but in his own zone its a bit of a mess.

Korchinski definitely a zone exit and zone entry guy. I just thought he’d be more competent on offense, activating and walking the line and using his hands. But through 50 or whatever games I’m not sure he has hands at all. He’s a pretty straightforward player. I’m just very caught up in his stride. It looks like it would hurts to skate that upright and choppy.

Anaheim picked up another win tonight but San Jose lost. Looking more and more like a two horse race for last place.
