Ottawa
Solid win. Dominating 3rd period in shots 15-4 while being up one goal for most of it.

And wow, Kostka -19 (league-worst) and no goals this season. Stortini 2 goals 1 assist... These are two most experienced veterans on the team. Our pro scouting is non-existent.

What is happening with that O'Connor vs Driedger situation. Has Driedger's play fallen off? He was called up to Ottawa, then later sent to the ECHL... any insights?

Bingo beat writers seem to think Driedger is better than O'Connor, and that the move was probably about perception or something. I'll dig up the tweets and post them in a bit.

What in the world happened to the goalie system? Wasn't Driedger a good prospect, and wasn't O'Connor supposed to be NHL ready last season?

In answering your first question; Driedger is still the key netminder to replace Anderson at some point in my mind and he will one day be an everyday stater, if not for Ottawa, then someone else in the NHL.

Lately though, his confidence has taken a hit by the up and down movement that has taken place between his time in the AHL and ECHL, while Ottawa continues to focus their energy currently on O'Connor.

O'Connor wasn't ready for any action at the pro level, as shown by his dismal results so far in Binghamton this season, as well as last season. Although it has improved as of late.
