I'd be surprised if he is claimed.

And it could also explain why Hillis was sent to 3R earlier today. Because with Belzile coming to Laval, Hillis falls even lower in the forward depth chart. And the kid needs to play. ECHL is the best place for him right now.

Niku has also been removed from IR, and thus Habs are at a roster of 23. With Belzile coming off the main roster tomorrow (whether claimed or sent to Laval), it opens the roster spot for Hoffman.
