That leaves us with about $14.5M left to sign Grigs, Barrie and MacK plus perhaps a training camp tryout or someone hanging out in the UFA leftovers.

For me:
Grigs = $975K-$1M for 2-3 years
MacK = $6M-$6.5M for 8 years or $4M-$4.5M for 3-4 years (prefer the long-term deal)
Barrie = $5.5M-$6M for 6-7 years or $4.75M-$5.25M for 2 years (or long shot to be traded)

My max dollars would put us at $13.5M more so about $1M in space for tryouts/breathing room.

While I like Pickard, and wouldn't have necessarily have had a problem with the Avs rolling the dice with him and trading Varlamov (dependent upon return)...I think an argument can be made around the fact that Pickard's TOI (Games Played) are vastly below the others surrounding him (save for Raanta).

So...actually it's kind of easy to argue. The question is can he sustain that over a long period of time (i.e.--more games played)

Probably high, but around there. He isn't getting over a million or the 1.25-1.5s that are thrown around.
