One issue I have is that I'll be on vacation from April 3rd to the 14th where my internet access will be spotty. I can make a list, but I may need the aid of a co-gm under these circumstances.

Perhaps some Co-GM should split up to get a little more teams. Each of the 5 teams with co-gm do have some experience and succesful GM's. Just saying ...

This is always something I suggest in the MLD and AAA drafts, in an effort to get more teams involved.

Secondly, if we truly are suffering from a decrease in ATD interest (and I haven't looked closely enough to determine if that is the case), then permit me to sound like a broken record and suggest that we stop adhering to the "custom" of starting a new one every six months and just go with the flow.

We've got 19 teams in a few days. Part of the problem is we're impatient in recruiting. Just let it happen.

If you don't mind, I can talk to Jon (boootthh) about splitting up and each having a team. At the very least it would show im not just a one person team.

I did the recent MLD and AAA draft, so I might as well take a stab at the big one.

I'm in as the Hampton Roads Admirals

(28 is ideal, though there's talent depth to do 32 again and we could run with 24)

I think 28 is the best number. 32 just didn't work for me. A few weaker teams.

pappy and kruez, we're going to miss you. On the other hand, I finally have a shot at getting some of the guys that pappy always picked.

I beg to differ. The MLD10 showed another couple of dozen players could have gone in the main draft, and certainly some of the ATD10 backup netminders could have been starters.

I certainly think it'd be better to go up to 32 than down to 24. Though if we went with 24 that would mean almost a 100 more players available for the next MLD. :naughty:

That said, 28 would be good.

Maybe you could do a bantam draft after the AAA? ;)
there certainly are undrafted guys better than several MLD picks

seventieslord and I have talked about doing a short AA Draft of 4 picks per day for 6 days, a full 24-man roster ... if we can get two other GMs to participate then a four-team draft would be worthwhile.

Otherwise, expect at least a free agency thread after voting has been done (this weekend) on the AAA regular season standings.

Ok fine, one last time.

Can I get the 1st overall pick handicap? .....It's sorely needed :D
And if BM isn't back, you should also be the admin. (Hey, can't blame me for trying, right?)

Glad to have you back, Spit.

That's 24 teams. Healthy number. Need four more. Would love to see BM, reckoning, Murphy and Evil Sather in those last four spots. Unfortunately, ol' Murph ain't been around for about two months.

i smell a thunder bay / kenora rivalry brewing ... (though i don't really want to run into this gm tandem in the draft - yikes)
