Holy smokes, some serious overreaction in here.

New CBA allows cap-hit to be retained, so that's a possibility. If it's for a 3rd rounder or something, I have absolutely no issues. Leafs need insurance in net, Scrivens..I like the guy, but I'm not comfortable with him being the insurance policy if Reimer goes down, not yet.

I have no issues with going after Kipper, as long as it's for a reasonable cost.

You know I'm kinda worried about Kipper being our goalie, I think he'd be great for the playoffs but I don't want the Leafs to spend a bunch of assets on him. I don't really find Scrivens playing net for the Leafs in the playoffs safe.

By the sounds of it, he wouldn't be that expensive. I think he is an upgrade over Scrivens, and will only help Reimer grow.
