I guess you forgot about 2 Compliance buy-outs which do not count against the Cap

If they are talking to Kipper's people, does that mean that the Leafs and Flames already have a trade agreed upon??

Usually when team gets permission to talk to a player a deal in principle has been reached.

Maybe they see that with 3 PPG forwards and 14 players with 10+ pts most in the .50-.75ppg bracket they are smart enough to take the gamble and get a proven tender not scrambly Scrivens as backup. Maybe they realize that we have an outside shot at making a good run and tbh, THEY ARE RIGHT!

Because we are Toronto does not mean we are not allowed good things.

You know I'm kinda worried about Kipper being our goalie, I think he'd be great for the playoffs but I don't want the Leafs to spend a bunch of assets on him. I don't really find Scrivens playing net for the Leafs in the playoffs safe.
