Hans versus Magnus court case?

imo Magnus, Chess.com and Hikaru are in trouble. Chess.com will be ok, they are huge and getting bigger, so finding money for a settlement shouldn't be too hard.
Magnus is also very, very well off- given the millions he got for selling his chess company to Chess.com.
a fact which shreds any appearance of impartiality, in regards to Chess.com's 'report on Hans' cheating'

Amazed that Hans is doing so well, despite the unbelievable stress and attention he was getting.
He is now over 2700 FIDE and in the top 30 players in the world.

Seems most of you all are good enough that these tips are irrelevant but here goes anyhow:

Try not to move a piece more than once, in the first 10 moves.
Get ready to castle inside 10 moves.
Do not forget your opponent is also trying to win, and has their own plans to do so.
Knights out before bishops.
Keep in mind anything in line with your king is a target, don't get pinned- can't move your rook/queen because of discovered check on your king- you can lose some valuable pieces. It's ok to lose a pawn, but not a major piece.

Opening wise, try out a few, then stick with just a couple for either white of black, till you get those ironed out.

you tubers:
Gotham is very good in terms of entertainment, and knowledge
Eric Rosen is one of the nicest guys on the web, and very capable, especially with his gambits "Oh no my Queen"
Danya Naroditsky is a GM level player, that has not let it get into his ego.
Very Calm, very educational.

Ben Finegold is also a gm rated player, abrupt/abbrassive? but a heck of player, that can help your game by watching his stuff.

Love Danya's speed runs. Very educational.

Just a FYI
The last game of the World Championship is on tonight-about 1 or 2 am pacific time iirc.
If the game is won, that player gets the title, as they are currently tied 6.5-6.5. First one to 7.5 is champ.

I want to see Ding win, or for it to go to the tiebreaker.

World Championship is tied, 7-7, now goes to a tie breaker format.
"T
iebreak Rules

If the match is still tied after the 14th game, the following tiebreakers decide the champion, in order:

  • A four-game rapid playoff with a 25+10 time control. A drawing of lots decides which player starts with White.
  • If the tie persists, the players contest a two-game playoff with a 5+3 time control. A drawing of lots decides which player starts with White.
  • If the tie persists, players contest another two-game playoff with a 5+3 time control. A drawing of lots once more decides which player starts with White.
  • If still tied, players play 3+2 games until there is a winner. A drawing of lots once more decides who starts with White, with colors alternating after each game.
Tie breaks start tonight at 2 am pacific time.

DIng Liren, wins World Chess Champion title after winning the final tie break.
Jan Nepomniachtchi finishes second, he's now been second place twice, having lost to Magnus Carlson in the previous championship.

Rg6 was a gutsy move by Ding with a minute left on his clock. He could have taken the draw and tried to go for the win the next game with the white pieces.

I was fine with either guy winning, but will say over the last few years that Ding has had a tougher journey.
The time difference, especially during the pandemic, had him getting up at 2 or 3 in his morning to compete with all the other great players.
likely a lot of pressure and worry in regards to how his government would react to a loss.
