He'll fit right in. Boosh was the 5th worse defensemen in the league by GAR last year.

Of Anaheim's D men, only Benoit was worse.

Some pretty revisionist history on Boosh by my fellow Buffalo fans. Shows how much a handful of good hits and 1 highlight reel goal can skew people’s perception on a player.

Boosh was most likely the worst defensemen in the NHL last season to play 1000+ minutes. Terrible at EV offense, terrible at EV defense, did not play on the pp, terrible at PK, and takes bad penalties.

I watched nearly every game this season for the Sabres how about you point out where he made mistakes because I rarely saw him do anything wrong besides get paired with dumb and dumber every night. Pretty much all those numbers depends on who you played with and he had NOBODY to play with on the bottom pair except a 7th-8th who constantly lost the puck.

No joke. Total win for Anaheim and no idea why Buffalo did this unless there is another roster move. We could have carried eight d-men.

No, he could have been the 7th d-man and Stillman at 8. We can carry 23 guys. This lowers their cap. They will be close to $10 M under the cap once Comrie and Bryson get sent down. Maybe even more if Comrie gets claimed. Bryson is not getting claimed.

Boosh had an overall xGF% of 45.73%. Without his minutes paired with Bryson his xgf increases to 47.29. An increase of 1.55%

Bryson had an overall xGF of 46.74% and without boosh 49.29% an increase of 2.54%

They were both better away from each other, but Boosh made Bryson worse than Bryson made Boosh.

EJ is just one year deal. Next season Sabres have a bunch of RFA contracts coming up including Dahlin

If Sabres can spend the 8 million wisely to get some players on a one year deal; Sabres can really push for playoffs. They only missed by couple points last season

Highly unlikely. I’m not even sure where we’d fit Kane with all the young wingers we have. Boosh was just crowded out after the Sabres signed 2 other RHD they like better than him this summer.
