Might come at the expense of the draft pick return, but I hope he goes to a contender with a legitimate shot at the Cup. Incredible how he's remade his game as a key PKer and faceoff guy over the years while maintaining respectable offensive numbers playing out of a top 6 role with two guys who are anchors and minimal PP time.

Thought that the last two games he's looked a lot more like the Henrique of old. Had that amazing assist on the PK last night against Pittsburgh.
He doesn’t seem as emotionally involved anymore. Maybe that will come as well. But definitely agree. Would be huge if he finds and keeps his form

It's early, but he's "on pace" for pretty much what he always does. His 3-5 PK last night was great, even outside of his amazing poke and eventual game winning assist. He constantly looks lazy (so did Getzy), but he's so smart and would solidify any contenders 3rd line.

Rico looks lazy. Silf looks lazy. Fowler looks lazy. Maybe these are all lazy hot takes since all three have been productive. All three are veterans who play calm, collected, and like to use their IQ over flash. Rookie LaCombe gets overlooked often because he plays like a vet instead of being flashy like Carlsson or MIntyukov. Someone made a great example of preferring a calculating Rico over the fast, bull-in-a-China shop Jones.

Mac finished the shortie, but Rico deserves all the credit for it occurring b/c of his defense on the PK as well as not passing the puck too far ahead of Mac.

Seeing how we have no viable top-6F options in San Diego or in our system, we might want to be prudent and extend Rico another year. It'll just cost us money and not any prospects or picks. Rico is currently tied at 5th, with Terry, as best scoring Ducks as of today. Of course, it's early in the season and if Rico doesn't want to be extended, then he has to be traded at the TDL.
