I truly don't believe that. Trashy Simon was actively been hurting the Penguins. Healthy at his best Rowney just blocks shots, that's about it. You're grossly overestimating the difference between those two guys.

Well, after Reaves broke Crosby’s wrist in 2014 Sid played with that bum hand well into the 2015 season. Hopefully it’s nothing related to that.

He played with a bum hand for like the final 20 games (and all playoffs) in 2014? 2015? So like I said, unless it's the kind of surgery that prevents him from playing, or will get worse if he plays, chances are he'll play.

Everytime Sid under performs he is injured. If it was bad he would sit is all I'm saying. There is no reason why he would play with the risk of losing recoop time before the playoffs. Or risk his own health as he shown before to hold himself out.
