This is the way I'd love to play most nights. Perhaps some of the domination was score effects due to trailing by multiple goals, but I thought we looked great even before we were trailing.

Maybe Cory had something nagging, which would explain his drop in play over the past few games.

I think he tweeked something either in the first when he got run over, or on the one Ottawa goal where he was crashed into.

He was fighting it more and more after that.

He was fine in the Tampa game though. Not sure what you are getting on him about in that one.

Honestly I am fine with the on ice defensive mess ups for the most part.

This is a blue line that is really young, inexperienced, and needing at least one more talented Dman.

For all of the above that aren’t doing too bad a job.

We just need to really crack down on penalities. That isn’t acceptable and it has nearly cost us a few times.
I'm hoping that as our offense dries up a bit we also get more disciplined so we aren't still getting killed with penalties.

send bratt down, patch it up however you want. but the kid needs time.

HELL NO!

This 19-year-old is playing beyond his NHL years and I don't think he'd get any better if he was playing in a NON-NHL league. Come on now.....

The best experience for Bratt is REAL-TIME NHL EXPERIENCE that he's getting now. To send him down will do nothing but, at best, keep his development in a "running in place but going nowhere" position.

I always grab a Molson at the arena so I can’t pretend to be Canadian.
Best way to pretend to be a Canadian is with one of these:

That is going to be the key. We can’t keep winning while taking all these penalties.

Though I’m not sure the offense is going to dry up, or not dry up a lot anyway.
I mean, I can't see us going the entire season scoring 4+ goals a game.

id agree with you but i think being sent down would do wonders for him. he can come back and go over 9 games. who cares about that. but the kid needs a wake up call. they have to be real careful and play him the right way. i could be wrong i get that, but you could be wrong too. im just glad im not coaching him. its really a difficult situation with him. what do you do?

His play hasn't slipped and he still controls the puck when he has it... still good on the PK. I don't see the reason to send him down... Unless you expected a 40-60 pt yr from him after 3 games

He's playing fine, why send him down? He was on pace for 200 points at one point, so we all knew he could go on stretches without scoring. Still on pace for 70 points...

I thought the Kucherov goal was a stoppable one. Not a terrible goal like the two bad one's tonight, but still stoppable. Hit his glove and went in.

I didn't like 2 of the goals in the Caps game either, although one was from Ovechkin and I doubt most guys are gonna score on him that way. One of the Oshie goals just beat him straight up, while he was in position for it. Think it was the fourth goal of the game and another PP goal.
