Laughton had the best ES CF-CA at 8-9. Patrick was 2-18 and Konecny was 3-21.

I think they need to put Raffl with Patrick.

Either Raffl or Jake. It's painfully obvious to everyone but the cowardly c u next tuesday we have behind the bench.

Remember when Hextall said that he wouldn't have a young guy in the roster if they weren't playing regularly? Less than 10 minutes for Konecny, Patrick and Sanheim. What more needs to be said. The handling of the young guys has been nothing short of atrocious by the coaching staff.

I hope Hextall remembers.

This is where Hak is really undercutting him, in the long run.

Including Sam, we've got four first-round guys on ELC's who the coach has chosen to play very "selectively." Even if you agree with how Hak is doing this, burning ELC years for this level of utilization and non-productivity is a terrible waste of what should be one of the Flyers strengths; production from cheap ELC players.

Given Hak's "philosophy" of development, we would have been far better sliding TK's ELC contract last season and Patrick's this season. As it stands now, we're damaging player development in the short term and our cap position in the long term. No bueno.

Not gonna change under this regime either.

This is how it is now.

You're probably right, but I wish Hanrahan and Anderson would have a sit-down with Hextall about ELC productivity and the long-term impact on our cap.

With the exception of Provorov, turning first round, slide-eligible ELC talent over to Hak has been a waste, and it's making Hexy's job harder in the long-run.

Even Jonesy brought it up last night when they were on the 5 minute PP how conservative they were playing it. He was advocating that they go for the kill shot with another goal.

The fourth line played the last 30 seconds or so.

I would honestly rather us be fighting it out at the bottom giving the youngsters plenty of experience, letting them live through their mistakes, regardless if it cost us games. Than watch the absolute **** show we have seen the last 2 years.

This veteran love bull**** has to stop. It really does.
Agree but either way we wont see proper development using the current game plans. We got lucky yesterday. The same method of clogging and dumping was seen as success while it has been a complete failure the previous 8 - 10 times. Its not a formula for development.

Why restrict it to first round only? Ghost scored 85 points in 140 games averaging 19:49 per game under Hakstol during the last two years of his ELC. The first year was ruined by injury.

So, you're fine with the handling of Sanheim, TK, Patrick and Sam?

You can say you want more minutes for those guys without pretending that only Provorov has contributed while being on an ELC. TK was given an opportunity to contribute last year that Connor and Barzal weren't, and he did.

Hakstol became coach in '15. Team evaluation should be viewed from that point til now. Has the team improved or no? Initially yes and now not so much.
Hex came in and improved the team initially but then they dropped. He brought in Hasktol and they improved that year and now have dropped.
Are they stuck in building but not completing the project?
