If Laval beats Belleville twice this weekend in regulation, then it won't matter what the Baby Sens do tonight. But obviously, a regulation loss tonight vs. Syracuse will help a lot.
But we also have to keep an eye on Utica, who finish the season with a 3-in-3 this coming weekend. They play Syracuse on Friday and Saturday, and play Rochester on Sunday. They currently sit 1 point behind Laval.
For Laval, Godin last night said that the expectation is that Mailloux, Struble, and Barron will be returned to Laval today. And that Roy is working hard to return so he can go join Laval also.

Why not ? he played his 2 games in the NHL, i'm sure, if he wants to, they can send him.

Anyone that plays a game in the NHL after the trade deadline that was not on an AHL roster when the trade deadline passed is ineligible. He would have had to be papered down to the AHL on deadline day, which was impossible as he didn't have a contract.

The only remaining games the Sens have are against Laval, so if Laval win in regulation, Sens do indeed get no points.

Laval has to win both games against Belleville this weekend in regulation. They're in a Philadelphia Flyers situation. If it gets to OT, Laval is eliminated. They can't allow Belleville to get any points.

And Utica has still 3 games to play. If they win two and win or loose in OT or SO, they pass Laval and Belleville.
Yes. Does that mean Kidney sits if Mackay, Tuch and Xhekaj also play?? Or is it Arnandeau?

If Laval wins both their games in regulation, Utica would have to win all 3 of their games. Because 2 wins and an OT/SO loss gives Laval the advantage.
The first tie-breaker, like in the NHL, are the RWs. Laval currently sit at 29 and Belleville and Utica both sit at 27. In the scenario that Laval wins both games in regulation, they will finish with 78 pts and 31 RWs. Utica would have to win all 3 of their games in order to pass both Laval and Belleville. They would finish with 79 pts.
But if Utica win 2 and lose 1 in OT/SO, they will finish with 78 pts (3-way tie with Belleville and Utica). In such a case, Laval finishes ahead because they lead in RWs.

I wonder how many times we'll have to repeat the scenarios in this thread.
Probably the same amount of times we repeated how we needed Arizona to get at least 1 point last night in the Tank Thread.
But my post was more to correct our boy @1909 when he talked about Utica's position relative to Laval's.
