Add a one-timer goal for Helenius. Again, he had a strong defensive play leading to the breakout and (eventual) goal.

Hard to believe he has had such scoring woes in the mens leagues, because all he has shown a real pro-style game that should translate well.

Kid is a big rig that covers a lot of ice, I’ve been pleasantly surprised to say the least.

In 4.66 WJC games so far, the Kings prospects have had a hand in 9 (6 G, 3 A) of the 32 goals scored.

The Finns really crushed Austria today, sheesh. Austria only had 9 shots on goal. Nice to see Simontaival get on the board and Helenius looks like a freight train. Helenius was a +4, Simontaival a +2.

Switzerland is on the board at the expense of Kirsanov and Askarov; Not going to blame Kirsanov too much on this because he was defending a two on one from poor defensive play from Russia, and Askarov let in a stoppable puck. Haven't been super impressed with Askarov this tournament so far.

Russians haven't been sharp at all in two games. Their goaltending have been brutal. Don't know what to think of Askarov but this is his 3rd WJC's already and really haven't lived up to the hype yet.

Edit: The goalie today isn't Askarov he's still haven't been impressive indeed.

So the rumor is Helenius is going to come over to play in Ontario next season. Part of me is like, kid, stay in Finland but since he's already playing in the bottom 6 on his pro team he'll fit right in with the new organizational development path for centers...

I watched the first 2 periods of the Sweden 3-0 game and frankly I was pissed at how the Slovak coach handled Chromiak! Here was a kid that scored twice the game before against the USA and then barely sees the ice for 40 minutes? Never watched the third but had the audio on. If I coached Chromiak he'd be playing 30-35 minutes a game in the World Juniors...something screwy in St Louie

Easy to say this now in hindsight, but why would you keep all goaltenders together when you have CV and the isolating together issue? Either keep them separate or have an emergency 3rd GT kept offsite ready to join in case of a CV issue. Oh well
