This had ZERO to do with analytics.

For pitchers, they're in week 4 of 6 of spring training, for all intents and purposes. He isn't fully built up yet, this is a non issue 3 weeks from now.

He was only at 80 pitches, workload wasn't the issue. The way he was dealing he throws 105 pitches max that game

Worst case scenario physically for sending him out for the 8th is you push his next start back

That's just not true. Injury risk is a real thing, especially for an older pitcher, with recent injury issues, and who isn't fully built up for a full load.

Again, you're only built up for about 80 at that point. He's at least 2 weeks away from 100 pitches.

It's a weird 1st month, that's just how it is.

Wasn’t Kershaw banged up in training camp? That could have something to do with it.

We’ll never see the 150-pitch no-hitters again.

A's were a lou trivino blown save away from a 4 game sweep of TB

it'd be nice if they were still competitive despite having a shit roster like during the geren years instead of just downright sucking like they did in 2015 and 16

Chapman had one of those Chapman outings were absolutely nothing goes right. Loaded for the Jays. 0 outs. Down 3.

And then King quickly cleans up the mess. NY wins.

LOL Angels. Bases loaded, decide to intentionally walk Seager to get to Garver. Seager kinda hurt himself running to first the previous inning so I would've pitched to him.

Maddon's mad genius strikes again.

Rangers pitching is bad.

So you're an Angels fans now that you've given up on the Yanks right? If you're looking for a new team, you could hang out with @JWK and me watching the first-place Rockies too. Switching to the NL is probably easier emotionally. :naughty:

He wouldn't last 30 seconds as a Rockies fan

don't think it's possible for any former A's player not to homer against their old team at least once

So Buxton has no structural damage to his knee but is still going to take a week off; best case scenario for the Twins
