They are both on hlinka roster. Curious to see how they do! Im hoping 2 more first rounders!
Of course I hope so. As for Petr, he still has some time to correct his condition, but I'm really skeptical about it after Kaut turned out. And when I saw Peter, he reminded me too much of Kaut in this. If it misleads me, I'll be happy.
I think it's a team that can attack medals. If it has a similar performance as last year, then why not. I don't want to completely evaluate the goalkeeper, but in the defense there are players like Badinka, Kočí, Dvořák and others I liked with their performances. In the attack, as I wrote, the first attack was bounced off the rest, but there were also interesting players in those other attacks. There is a very decent depth of teams ..

Stramel is too old for this team. Also, USA doesn’t send NTDP guys, so none of those three will be there.

Players I’d watch for are Gavin McCarthy, Jayson Shaugabay, and Quentin Musty.

I will add to the list the players who were clearly the best in the team last season and should definitely be on the list.

What reality ?? The reality of the whole season. At the time you wrote that Peter was no worse, they had comparable statistics. Maybe he'd like to find out what statistics they had at the end of the season, that .. Your rating of less than two matches, I have to laugh at that. So in the end he actually stopped Petr. A real amused smile. The whole season showed who the better player was. In the end, the statistics clearly corresponded to this, and no doubt Tichý not only evaluated the entire season. That you probably see it exactly the other way around and that you are literally the only person is your problem. And Šapovaliv is definitely not as disastrous a skater as Petr. And to be clear, Petr is not a good skater in general, but first of all we are talking about his cardio, which needs some upgrade and I'm not sure if he will ever be able to. The Kaut case is a clear warning.
You didn't answer me how was Petr holding anyone back? What is Sale that much better at than him, that Petr was pulling him down? Stats are a non-argument, what good is it that Sale produced at higher rate when he is literally useless when not on score sheet. Petr makes bigger impact all over the ice, and that's despite being the worse skater and having the cardio "problem", which is a non issue, but I will mention it because you sure do so in every single post.

I am sure Tichy had nothing better to do than to evaluate two underage players. His comment more than anything seems like a bitter attempt to downplay Petr, because how dares his father nominate him, as if this was a case of protectionism (it's obviously not, even if you think otherwise for whatever reason.) Just because he is an NHL scout doesn't mean he is right, but you surely know that. His comment will age poorly, as countless of other "professional" takes have.

I paraphrased Tichý. Sale was useless except for points and Peter was better, okay. I think Tichý laughed too, when he was the coach of the WCH at pp1 and Kulich at the second, even though he was the best player in the class at the HGC and finally at the WCH. And I also laugh at the reviews you write here. I don't have more ..

I still love Kaut and hope he makes Avs next year with Sedlak. Probably wishful thinking.

I don't know enough about the U18 groups so I'll read and learn from you and Wooren on this stuff.

A medal would be amazing... hope it happens for sure but am always skeptical. Sounds like Slovakia will have a strong team too!

If I'm being honest though, I just want more and more guys going to the draft and getting taken in first 100. This draft looks to be promising with at least 4 guys in top 100 and maybe 5 ot 6... but, again, we will see. Need some new blood in NHL and especially on D.

Rimpinen, Kiviharju, Muhonen, Väisänen, Helenius, Saarelainen are 2006 born.
Also Vinni and Hynninen are late 2005 born.
That's a lot of 2024 draft eligibles.
