If each team is required 7 doubleheader at home that takes a week off the schedule. They aren't shortening the season though

The whole idea of the bye gives the team with it an advantage. The extra off day takes it away from them.

f***ing PLEASE. 140 is enough. We can sacrifice interleague play. Guys won't get hurt so much, pitchers can complete games, regular season matters more. More built in off days for rain delays and double headers.

It's not that I don't want to watch the Rays play the Reds. It's that I'm more tired of the marathon season leaving no room for error. At this rate the World Series is gonna be played in November
