He has been competent for the Preds. We sometimes get mad because we had younger guys (Tolvanen, Tomasino, Novak) who really should have been in our lineup instead of him some nights. But I couldn’t say he looked out of place as a generic 4th liner. We just had too many of such and shouldn’t have had so many on the ice at once.

Calgary
Best player in the 2012 draft - Jay Feaster
It was sickening to hear him go on about it back then. Many of us observers knew Jankowski was a gamble in the second round, at best. Feaster was another guy who refused to go into rebuild mode when it was obvious the Flames really needed the renewal.

There’s teams who could use him but in all honesty, he’s been pretty mediocre. He doesn’t offer what he did a few years ago.

Because of his AAV only being only $750k, maybe someone takes a quick look. If he fits, keep him, if not, dump him before the deadline. He likely clears though.

Kapanen? Weird. Has he been bad?
He’s been part of a real bad third line. Pens fans will argue about the Pens’ problems—is it Hextall?, is it Sullivan?, is the goaltending?, the D?, the 4th line? But everyone acknowledges that the third line is part of the problem.

Sullivan should know what the next step is since in his own mind he's not only the coach but GM, owner, media relations manager, and every position there is and some stuff that doesn't even have titles yet.
