Sweden’s women win gold without much of a challenge (from Korea who beat them in the round-robin). Third gold in the last four olympics (silver in Sochi)

Commercials during the Olympics are now as annoying as the ones that are repeated on NHL Network. I'm gonna ring somebody's bell if I hear the Walmart ring my bell commercial one more time.:tmi:

C'mon Germany! Cheer me up and beat the Russians!!

Will be difficult, I probably would’ve had the Russians as favourites over anyone here. Slovakia pulled it off, and Russia seems prone to overlook ”weaker” competition, so let’s hope so. Germany may have had the hardest possible route to the final as well, going through Switzerland, Sweden and Canada is no joke!

Hope they pull it off. Not a big fan of the Russian national team, and it would feel like the NHL handed the goal to them somewhat, with how big favourites they (rightfully) were going into the tourny.

Wow! Russian goal with 0.5 secs left in the pd. Thought Germany would go into the intermission 0-0 after getting outplayed.

Word on Twitter is that the IOC is not lifting the "ban" or whatever they're calling it, so even if Russia wins, officially they'll still be OAR.

I still don't like them.

I heard the referees retracted a penalty call after Kovalchuk told them it was a German player's stick that hit a teammate. If so, that's Tim Peel-level bad, even if it was indeed an erroneous penalty.

No if they had a spine no Russian athlete would have been allowed to compete period

It's complicated - The network that handles Olympics rights in Europe said they would go bankrupt if they could not send the games to Russia
