Really strong crop of defencemen in this class. One franchise winger and possibly a franchise level goalie as well. Decent crop of potential top 6 C's as well but no one who I would consider franchise level.

Is there any Elite D names? And how many Franchise Defenders are there from your point of view?

Not Daximus, but from a very brief look stat watching:

-Rasmus Dahlin is highly talked about as a top pick as a defenceman, next Chychrun/Liljegren? or will this guy actually be taken at the top of the draft for once.

-Ryan Merkley led his Guelph Storm team in points in his draft-1 with 55 pts in 62 games played as a defenceman..Seems pretty impressive.

Then you actually have a fair amount of defenceman that put up ~0.5 pts/game in the CHL which for D-1 is pretty good. Jared McIssac, Ty Smith, Calen Addison, Evan Bouchard, and some others I think...And of course hometown boy Jett Woo put up a respectable 22 in 65.

Andrei Svechnikov will probably be a top pick as well, winger though. Joe Veleno at centre the dude who got exceptional status, this is his draft as well, 40 pts in 45 in the QMJHL..Which is good but not exceptional for D-1. We got Keith Tkachuk's other son coming through as well, Brady Tkachuk who is also putting up good numbers in the US development program.

All in all looking it over if I wanted to stock up on D prospects I'd try and grab more picks in this draft..Looks really solid.

Just one franchise defender from what I can tell in Dahlin.

Merkley, McIsaac, Woo, Smith, E.Bouchard, Hughes and Wilde could all have elite upside.

My top 15 for dmen currently...

1. Dahlin
2. Merkley
3. McIsaac
4. Hughes
5. Wilde
6. Woo
7. Smith
8. E.Bouchard
9. Addison
10. Boqvist
11. X. Bouchard

No Tkachuk?

I was looking at some of the top eligibles - pretty crazy that Isac Lundeström has already played 45 SHL games.

Looks like there will be some decent depth.

Is this Boqvist related to the one recently picked #36?
