So now the Padres are giant killers that play up to the competition

Man talk about throwing your life away

Loaiza 03 season was finest turnaround from pitcher under Cooper that I can recall with Loaiza winning 21 games , starting Allstar game and finishing 2nd in Cy Young voting. But he started to fall back to earth in 04 and Sox sold him to Yanks before his value vanished (Was a Allstar in 1st half of 04 but was faltering badly in weeks before trade)

Jose Contreras acquisition turned out to be gem for Sox as he was our ace in 05

Talking would have thrown his life away. He'll be taken care of now.

He was a great poster. RT, BigLargeHuge (or whatever it was), Blades of Glory and Murray Bannerman are 4 most knowledgeable baseball guys that have posted on here. Sadly none post anymore.
BigMcLargeHuge. I could be wrong about the capitals, though.

Don't forget Better Call Saul (BCS). He and RT are definitely very influential on how I now evaluate player performance. Murray later on, as well.

Astros continue their sucking ways at home. 7 straight now. Just bizarre.

Mariners win yet another 1 run game. A's are winning big so looks like no change there.

D-Backs on the verge of a stinky loss in Cincy when they had the lead late.

To think the Astros as recently as 2015 were worldbeaters at home and shaky on the road (kinda like the 2006-07 Flames).

Now the tables have turned.

Lovullo intentionally walked Peraza with a runner at 2nd to face Votto and I'm still trying to figure that one out.

Not having Jansen just cost the Dodgers a game. Probably the first of a few.

When was the last time the A’s had a basher like this- prime Giambi?

Yup. Frank Thomas had 39 homers in 2006 and that was really a blip on the radar screen. No one else has come close to 40 since Giambi.

Jesus, not even sure Vlad had that good of an arm.

The NL Wild Card picture is just wild right now.
