Ovi hit 101 mph 2 years ago. He absolutely has one of the 5 hardest shots in the league.

I'm not sure he is top 5. I know Chara, Weber, Boychuk and Laine have been clocked higher. Best case for Ovi would be 5th.

It depends of the setting I guess. In a game situation, I'd say only Weber shoots it harder than Ovi. I've never seen a player get as much wood on his shot as him.

In the All Star format, maybe other guys can shoot harder.

I've rarely seen Chara connect on a full power slap shot in a game situation, and when he does, he usually misses the net. Boychuk has an amazing slap shot, but he's not the player he was a few years ago.

I don't know why Stamkos isn't participating, he has an amazing slap shot too.
