Bias check. This second game seems better than the first by far. Not sure if it's my interest in the EC players that's behind it, or if the play really is better.

The NHL wants to market the stars by making sure you can see their faces. They want casual fans to watch the All Star game. Casual fans complain about not being able to see the puck or follow the play.

So what does the NHL do? Broadcast the ASG from a nosebleed height using a moving camera that makes it even more difficult to track the play, see the puck, or identify faces.

There's the Pro Bowl on ABC, Golf on CBS and the movie Snatch on HBO so you have choices, what are you complaining about.

That particular camera angle, that's what. I'm also watching golf. What's on the other channels has nothing to do with my observation.

Note they went back to a regular camera angle for the 2nd game. Much better.
