I am not going to comment not nominating Bakoš and Lušňák. My guess (and hope) is 6 points at best, and both Cíger's and Švehla's resignation.

Ciger says Bakos came to him and said he wasn't feeling it.

My prediction - quarterfinals baby!

This is by far weakest slovak team at WCH ever. Imho we will be really glad if we will stay in top division. This team is that weak. This team would be low seeder of czech extraliga play off imo. I think this is our rock bottom at wch imo. 21 of 25 players are 1987-1995 born. These are born years where we stop producing some respectable talent. And lot of good players from these years are not even there for example Tatar, Panik, Viedensky, Jurco, Hrivik, Cehlarik, Reway, Dano, Jaros, Marincin, Daloga. I think in the future we will have only better teams than this.

can someone try to make potential line-up? idk about other games, but you should eat italy alive. they easily lost twice to my team poland and trust me, you are really bad if you can't defeat team poland in hockey

So after Sekera's injury the roster is now full. We added 2 more forwards (kinda funny, since we were waiting for a defender).

So now it's finally confirmed: no NHL players this year, we'll have to make do with what we have, which ain't much, honestly.

For those wondering what's going on with our National team, this is the rundown of our current squad: A few 4th liners from our home league's champion, 4th liners from Sparta Prague that didn't cross Czech play-offs quarter finals, and so on.

Overall, there's 7 players total that have played other than Slovak or Czech league this year (and that includes 4 players that played ~30 matches for Slovan in KHL, then moved to Slovak league for the play-offs).

The best players we got seem to be Miklik (JYP), Hudaceks (both Orebro) and Cajkovsky (Jekaterinburg).

Its quite a mental fight for Slovakia now. I personally think you played well against Latvia and were better team 5on5. Just stupid penalties and low quality scoring chances caused you lost it imo. Still there was very good skating and intensity, some staff you can built on. Not sure what is the ceiling but imo you have to play like this and improve game by game, relegation shouldnt be case and quarter would be nice.

Well I'm still hopeful this team will surprise me, but they'll have to play at their limit. We got a long way ahead of us and it's only going to get harder.

We still need to beat Denmark to avoid relegation for good, as it's still possible for Italy to score some points here and there (right now they only need 2 points to get ahead of us and Denmark hosts the next year Championships so they can't be relegated).

After Denmark, we'll know if there's any point at all even talking about quarter finals.

If he realy said he set up this fee based on average slovak income to let players know what normal people earn, then I dont know what to say.I have more many for one day work travel based on law and with all confidence I am not the best guy in my profession, not even saying that people would go to square because of me. Surely normal people have two trainings per day and are supposed to be the best in their country. Thats total disrespect to players imo. Frankly I am not surprise that these teams underachieve.
