Dmitri Samorukov had an assist, no shots and was +1 but his Russian team were doubled up by Team OHL 4-2. Nick Suzuki led the OHL with 2 goals and an assist with Conor Timmins adding a goal and 2 assists.

If he stays healthy wouldn't surprise me to see him on the Oilers roster next year.

He's my sleeper as well for next year. His game is imo already well suited for the NHL. He's smart, makes plays, is strong on his skates, and isn't afraid to work in the dirty areas when he needs to. He's not an elite skater but he is a + skater with good all around tools.

If he can stay healthy I think we could see either Yamamoto or him on the team next year, and both are AHL eligible so both could potentially see time. Those 2 plus Puljujarvi fitting into our top 9 over the next 2 years is crucial to this team being a contender. Three quality cheap wingers would give us a ton of options with the McD, Drai, Nuge trio.

I hope Benson notches four points in every game and then the Oil Kings shut him out. The latter is unlikely as the OKs are lousy.
