At this point I'd be shocked if Eaves can manage more then 20 games in a row this season

It's that f***ing knee again. Hopefully it's not serious.

Is this the worst we have ever been hit by injuries? I can't seem to recall a time where it's ever been this bad. Missing 2 best forwards and now 3 of 4 best dmen all at once.

Losing Fowler will suck, but defence is probably the only area where Anaheim can 'afford' an injury to a key player given Lindholm and Vatanen are back soon. Not ideal as Fowler is our top minute eater, but its one we can (just about) survive in the regular season, Lindholm/Manson/Montour/Vatanen should be able to see us through. Hopefully it's only a sprain and not a tear.

I saw a Stephens tweet saying Eaves is going to see a specialist for his injury, so I'm guessing he's more like week to week opposed to day to day. Who would have thought a 3.1m contract for a 30 goal scorer would look brutal  (Though I still think it is/was a good contract - but not a smart one given how pushed against the cap we are)

I was wondering how we are so close to the cap given we had a few million in the offseason so I checked cap friendly which shows we have $1.1M. Then I checked the calculation again and that's based on a 27 man roster. So once we get some healthy bodies and send down some of those extra players we should free up a little bit more space.

Eaves to miss the road trip per Stephens.

Will Eaves even play 41 games this season? I highly doubt it. I originally didn’t mind that 3 year contract but I’m beginning to to think it will be a huge albatross because Eaves will not even play half the games over the life of the contract at this rate. Dude is an oft injured 3rd liner who had a career year and got rewarded.

Management should force Fowler to give up that #4. It's not good for the health of a defemnseman's knees.

Same style too - both incredible skaters (although Orr obviously had that edge and extra ability nobody else has had since). The number must be cursed.

Maybe he should change to 27. There shouldn't be many injuries based on his predecessor is anything to go by.

Ehhh, he's already had the cheapshot concussion issues as well

At this rate Kesler will be back before Eaves.

Sportsnet says Cam is out 4-6 weeks

EDIT: Apparently they are still deciding if he needs surgery or not.

To add to that, not that it’s a surprise, but Cam put on IR today according to several outlets.

New stuff from Stephens:

- Getzlaf and Lindholm are very close to returning to the lineup. Final decision at the practice next Monday?
- Vatanen could also "play some time" during the 4-game road trip.
- Eaves is not on the road trip, will miss at least four games
- No word on Fowler or his condition, still under examination? On Twitter, Stephens says the feeling is that Fowler's injury is not likely "devastating or season-ending", more like a matter of how many weeks he'll miss.
