The gradient colour cages need to go ASAP.

Raanta's new pads are the bomb. Subban's is too empty for my liking. Also love Nilsson's new helmet, that's a solid DaveArt's mask. Blackwood on the other hand is like Dave going at the speed of sound in a fighter jet, just to realise that the theory of special relativity doesn't equate for cocaine usage.

Today we have the pleasure to unleash Jeremy Smith’s latest mask creation

. A very clean design created with just a brush

, and the colors red

, white

️ and black

️. I painted with the brush so the brush strokes are clearly visible, it gives a very nice classic feeling to the design. The design is all inspired from the cool Hurricanes logos and jersey

. We brainstormed

a lot how to create this piece. I just love the brainstorm process together with the goalie and throw ideas back and forth

. After a while we have set a theme

and style

and feeling

for the design and story, then I start to paint

. Every single mask I create is total custom and one of a kind

, created for only one person, the goalie a.k.a the user of the mask. It is truly storytelling on a mask

It is with a great joy we unleash pics of Harri Säteri’s new Florida Panthers mask

. Harri and I brainstormed a lot how to create this piece

. We came up with a plan and I made some sketches

✍Harri confirmed and I started to paint an early summer morning

. A strong team build design which lives and breathes the Florida Panthers in every detail down the the golden sparkling palm trees

. The closer you come the more details you will discover and the design transforms into a Storyteller mask in front of your eyes

. I remember the first mask Harri and created many years ago, a design with a scary pirate skull

. So awesome to be your artist Harri!

BTW: I noticed that last game, Ondrej Pavelec was wearing a new mask, but could not find it so far in the www.

More goalies need colored cages, the masks with just a white cage over a predominantly not white mask irk me, almost as much as goalies not having all equipment from one manufacturer.

It was very exciting to paint and create Ondrej Pavelec’s new NYR mask

. Ondrej knew what he wanted, a tribute to his music idol... The Boss

. Ondrej and I brainstormed a lot and came up with a plan how to create the painting

. Ondrej wanted a new and action packed look

. I made some test sketches

, it worked, then I picked up my airbrush and started to paint

Someone needs to pull him said and tell him it's ok to be creative and not be repetitive and also lens flares should be left to Bruckheimer and Bay.

Jonathan Bernier and I have been working together for more than a decade

. It is always so creative and exciting to work with Jonathan, he is always open to new creative design ideas

. We came up with a new idea, how about create Storytelling on a mask

, with paintings created with inverted colors

? Is that possible on a mask? Yep, it was a very interesting project

. On the top I painted just as usual on Bernier’s masks a lion face

, and this time I painted it with inverted colors / flipped colors... So when you look at the top in an inverted filter the lion face will appear, because Colorado blue becomes the perfect lion colors when it is inverted

There were some pretty cool designs in the last couple of days:
Pavelecs mask looks great (was just used once so far?)
That Panthers mask is cool and this ducks mask is looking cool as well ( don't see any fur here, it's just "icy")

Never liked the Lionhead-Styles of Berniers mask, even if it fit's really good on his AVs one..
